Rev. Linda Wheeler

On December 1, 2012, the Reverend Linda Wheeler was appointed as incumbent of the Parish of Stafford-Whitewater by the Right Reverend John Chapman, Bishop of the Diocese of Ottawa. On April 17, 2013, this appointment was celebrated in a joyful induction service held at St. Stephenís. Micksburg. Bishop John officiated and the Venerable Rob Davis, Archdeacon of the Pembroke deanery, preached. In the Covenant in Ministry, individuals representing the five churches in the parish brought up the various symbols of ministry: Lois Hawkins, Ralph and Pam Roloff, Myles Buttle, Sam Sutton, Anne and Elmor Haley, Lucy Buttle.

Both lay and clergy from across the parish, the Pembroke Deanery as well as from other parts of the diocese attended. The Reverend Rhondda McKay as well as others from Reverend Lindaís home church of All Saints Sandy Hill made the trek from Ottawa to join in the celebration. A free will offering in support of the Pembroke Regional Hospitalís MRI initiative raised $700.00! In true Stafford-Whitewater tradition, following the service there was a reception with much food, fellowship and laughter at the Micksburg Community Hall.
